Southland Insurance has been involved in the Windsor-Essex community for over 50 years. Our team supports cancer care through the Windsor Essex Cancer Centre Foundation. Southland Insurance is excited to partner with the foundation to present Quote for the Cure. For every auto policy purchased through the program, Southland will donate $100 to local cancer care.

Distracted driving is a very real health risk in our community, comparable to impaired driving or second-hand smoke. We believe that like those hazards, distracted driving can be prevented through education.

The LaSalle Vipers are a Junior B hockey team, which competes in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Western Conference, is based at the Vollmer Culture & Recreation Complex in LaSalle, Ontario. In 2010, the Vipers won the Jr.B Sutherland Cup Championship. Notable alumni include: Tie Domi, Joel Quenneville, Ed Jowanowski, Kyle Wellwood, D.J. Smith, Adam Nemeth, Eric Wellwood and Ryan Wilson
The Lakeshore Canadiens Junior C hockey team is based out of Rock Developments rink, part of Atlas Tube Centre in Lakeshore, Ontario. Notable alumni include Tie Domi, Steve Ott, and Bob Boughner, D.J. Smith, Alek Stojanov, Derek Wilkenson and Marcel Pronovost.
The Riverfront Theatre Company is a charitable organization, a branch of the Youth Connection for Academic Excellence, Inc.
Theatrical training and performance experience is provided to the youth of Windsor and Essex County in a year-long annual program. The program runs with the generous support of their sponsors and the community, with the help of an almost-exclusively volunteer staff, and at no charge to the participating families.
